When creating a magazine, one of the most important things you nee to know is your audience.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO DO THIS?

Knowing your target audience and what their interests are, the likelihood of your magazine being more appreciated and desired is way higher. This will help with further decisions regarding content and the style of the magazine.

My team and I took it upon ourselves to make an online questionnaire to have a better understanding on what our friends and followers are interested in and what they wish to see in our magazine.

THE QUESTIONNAIRE

My group decided on very straightforward questions that get us the information we need and we made sure that the questions don't confuse the audience. It is very important to keep things simple and not have too many questions as it might be bothersome and a hassle for the people taking the questionnaire.

RESULTS AND EXPLANATIONS

Our questionnaire got a total of 68 responses and we got a hold of these responses by "marketing" our questionnaire through Social media. We posted the link on our personal Instagram bio's and our magazine's account.

Sadly, due to the way we've marketed our questionnaire, the age range is relatively biased. (most of the people who have submitted a response are colleagues and friends of ours)

My team and I have decided on a Fashion, Youth and Culture magazine, so we were thrilled to see that the most part of our youth category like fashion magazines!

Another thing we were rather surprised to see was that 42.6% read their magazines in a printed format. Giving that we live in the 21st Century and that everything is very Technology Pro.
